ALDI Hiring Managers, Cashiers

MIAMI (CBS4) – Discount grocer ALDI is looking for a few good men and women to work in their stores in Cutler Bay, Westchester and Broward County.
On Tuesday and Wednesday they will be accepting applications and interviewing for shift manager, manager trainee and cashier positions at the following locations:
Bank United Center – Field House
1245 Dauer Drive
Coral Gables
Tuesday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Wednesday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

For those hired, ALDI said store manager trainee positions pay $20 per hour (Coral Gables even only), shift managers make between and $13.50 per hour and cashiers (full/part-time) will be paid $10 an hour.
There are a few requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be available to work anytime between 6am and 10pm
- Retail experience preferred
- Management experience preferred for Manager Trainees
- Drug Screening and background check
- Ability to lift 45 pounds required
Part time staff working at least 20 hours a week receives full healthinsurance, dental coverage and 401K, the company said.
Typically discount grocery stores are smaller, have few brand names and shoppers have to bag their own groceries. And while they may not have fancy bakeries or deli counters, shoppers can find items like canned vegetables for under 50-cents.
ALDI is also able to keep prices low by selling private label brands meaning the brands are specific to those stores.
ALDI has more than 1,100 stores in 31 states.
